Notes: Churchill, Canada. This is polar bear central, and it's the reason we came here. This time of year, the bears hang out by the edge of the Hudson Bay, waiting for the ice to form. When the ice gets to a critical point they break off and float off shore into the bay. The bears will then hitch a ride on the ice where they will hunt for seals for the rest of the winter. The bears breed in the spring and give birth in the summer. Apparently most bears give birth to twins, and thus we have here a mother and her twins.
